About the site

Escape to Northumberland, at this peaceful site set in a tree-lined valley, 200m from Budle Bay's mud flats, renowned for its birdlife. You'll be in a great spot for exploring the 16 miles of sandy beach and dunes that lead to Bamburgh's coastal castle. The campsite is home to a variety of grass and hardstanding pitches to suit all guests, welcoming tents, campervans and caravans. Or, for those who like their home comforts the glamping units are perfect for a no frills, nature filled getaway. There are two types of huts to choose from, the Hill View huts offer guests a view of the entire campsite and river valley, whilst the River View huts are located closer to the river. All huts have a private veranda with outdoor seating for soaking in the views. All of the cabins are fully insulated with the option of an electric heater if you wish, as well as plenty of storage space and mains electricity. The Hill View huts and the River View huts both have communal outdoor kitchen areas, as well as a small fridge, microwave, kettle and dining area in each of the huts so you can prepare basic meals. For couples or solo travelers, there are three options, two Hill View Huts and a River View Hut, both with a double bed. For groups of four there are four River View Huts with a double bed and two single beds and two River View Huts with two sets of single bunk beds. For larger groups of up to seven, the larger Hill View huts are perfect with two rooms, one with a double bed and another with a double bed with a single on top and a set of single bunk beds. The Hill View huts have a dedicated parking area beside the huts too. You will need to bring your own cooking equipment if you wish to self-cater, including pots, pans, plates and cutlery. You will also need to bring your own bedding, bed linen and towels. Please note that children under 6 years old are not permitted on the top bunks of the bunk bed. You can be sure of a restful night's sleep with the site operating a quiet policy from 10:30pm on weeknights and 11pm on weekends. One dog is permitted per hut. Your cabin does not include a fire pit or BBQ, but you are welcome to bring your own as long as they are raised from the ground.
