Stripping things back, this off-grid campsite is the perfect destination for those wanting to get back to basics but still have the comfort of a proper bed. The site is nestled between Eryri (Snowdonia National Park) and the charming town of Criccieth and the coast, so there is plenty to keep you busy! There is one off-grid glamping cabin, set in a private woodland area, sleeping up to two guests on a double bed. Inside the cabin, there is solar-powered lighting, USB charging, a sofa and a dining table and chairs. There are lockable French doors and windows with curtains to block out the morning light. Outside your cabin,n there is an undercover outdoor cooking area with a gas BBQ and a kettle. There are also two outdoor seating areas for when the sun is shining, and a fire pit in which you will need to bring your own charcoal. There is a private composting loo by the cabin, and you have shared use of the campsite showers, flushing loos and washing up area just a short walk from the cabin. Do note that the site is unlit at night, so you may wish to bring a torch to help you navigate your way around. You may also wish to bring a blanket to keep you cosy when it's chilly, as the cabin is not heated. There is also a bell tent onsite, a few woodland and grass camping pitches and a gravel pitch for campervans. The glamping cabin does not allow dogs, but there may be dogs onsite as the pitches and the bell tent are dog friendly. This site is part of the Greener Camping Club, which means at least one member of your party must be a member. Membership can be purchased when you book, which is then valid for the year.
