Valley View Camping is set just minutes from a rocky beach along the North Yorkshire coastline offering guests a peaceful spot for an outdoorsy getaway. There are just three pods onsite, the perfect option for a weather-proof alternative to camping, there is also a shepherd's hut and 21 camping pitches. You'll be 20 minutes from Whitby and Robin Hood's Bay and a 15 minute walk from the Cinder Track which is a great track for walkers or cyclists.

About the site

Escape to North Yorkshire at this quiet adult only site, you can switch off, relax and unwind listening to birdsong and gazing up at the starry night sky. You'll be minutes from a rocky beach, or 20 minutes from the infamous Robin Hood's Bay. There are three pods onsite, choose between the camping pod (double) or one of the glamping pods (king). All are a great weather-proof alternative to camping, offering a cosy base for your outdoor adventure. The camping pod (double) measures 4m x 2m and is 1.5m tall, but please note that the French doors are only 1m tall so you will need to duck upon entering. Inside there is bench seating and a table which converts into a double bed. The glamping pods (king) are slightly larger, measuring 4.6m x 2.7m and have a double bed. Outside of these pods is a decking area with a BBQ and comfy bean bag seating. All of the pods have 12V lights with USB charging sockets underneath for your devices. The pods also have blinds and curtains for the doors and windows to block out the morning light. A king-sized duvet and four pillows are provided in all of the pods, in the camping pod it is stored underneath the seats. Please remember to bring towels, toiletries and a torch as lighting around the site is kept low to allow for better dark skies. Alongside the pods there are 21 pitches for tents, campervans and motorhomes, plus a shepherds hut for two. The site is dog friendly with up to two dogs permitted to join you on your holiday, the double camping pod is the only accommodation that does not allow dogs. You are welcome to bring along a BBQ as long as it is raised from the ground, if you are staying in one of the glamping pods a BBQ is provided. There are also picnic benches dotted around site for dining al fresco.

Site facilities include a toilet and shower block with a pot wash room with a sink, a freezer, a kettle and a microwave for communal use, as well as an honesty shop and free WiFi. Guests can also use the picnic benches that are dotted around the site and bring a BBQ to enjoy a leisurely meal outdoors.

A small honesty shop is available onsite, or Scarborough is just a 20 minute drive away, where you can find many restaurants and shops, including an Aldi and Sainsbury's.

Site rules

Guests are able to check-in from 3pm until 8pm, if you are delayed please let the site know. Please note that the site does not allow any after dark check-ins. Check out is due before 10am.
The camping pods (double) do not allow dogs to stay, but the glamping pods (king) are dog friendly, allowing up to two pups to join you per stay, free of charge. Please note that dogs must be kept on the lead at all times and not left unattended.
Each glamping unit has a lock box outside where the keys are stored. You will be given the code to your glamping pod prior to arrival. When leaving, please leave the keys in the door of your pod.
The glamping pods (king) include a BBQ, but if you are staying in the camping pod (double), you are welcome to bring along a BBQ.

Bedding is included in your pod but sorry towels are not provided.
Yes, there is a shepherd's hut and 21 pitches for tents, campervans and motorhomes.
Parking isn't available beside the pods, but parking is available less than a 2 minute walk from the pods.

There is a bus stop a 15 minute walk from the site, or Scarborough train station is a 20 minute drive away.
