About the site
Within ten minutes of the coast and Berwick-upon-Tweed, this small and peaceful glamping site sits within the lush grounds of Paxton House. Surrounded by open parkland, gardens and waterside walks along the River Tweed, it's a calm and scenic base for exploring the Scottish Borders. There are just five glamping pods onsite, each sleeping up to six people. Inside, you will find a double bed, a double sofa bed and a set of bunk beds, with bedding and towels all provided. Each pod also comes with a well-equipped kitchen, including a hob, oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, kettle and toaster, along with all the crockery and utensils needed for cooking up a delicious meal. The pods are designed to keep you cosy in all seasons, with heating, a TV and a dining area. Each one also has a private ensuite wet room with a shower, toilet and basin, just be sure to bring along your own toiletries. Outside, each pod has its own garden space with a picnic bench, perfect for enjoying the fresh air. Guests are welcome to also cook up a BBQ outside (not provided), just please ensure it is raised off the ground. Do note, open fires are not permitted. Staying here also means enjoying the wider estate. Guests have access to the grounds of Paxton House, where there are gardens, woodland trails and plenty of space to explore. The tearoom is great for a light lunch or sweet treat, and the river offers wonderful views, with boat trips available in summer. Two of the pods are dog friendly, and dogs are welcome to explore the estate grounds, making it a great choice for those bringing their four-legged companions along for the adventure!
