About the site
This adult only hideaway is located in peaceful rural Perthshire, just 20 minutes from Stirling. The site sits among gardens, woodland and a small lochan, with friendly animals including Highland cows, alpacas and Valais Blacknose sheep. Each glamping space is hand-built, full of charm and perfect for couples wanting a quiet getaway! The Summer Howf is a converted summer house for two adults. Inside is a double balcony bed with a stargazing window, towels, candles and a wood burner. Guests are provided with simple kitchen equipment, including a two-ring gas camping cooker, a cool box with ice packs, plates and cutlery. Outside is a private seating area with a canopy, picnic table and a fire pit. Binoculars and a bird book are included for wildlife spotting, and a wood-fired hot tub can be added. The shared Wash Howf (toilet, hot shower, washing up area, microwave and fridge/freezer) is only 50m away. The Wee Tree Howf is a two-floor treehouse set beside a pond, with a cosy living area downstairs. It has a gas stove, oven, fridge, kitchen sink, cool box, crockery and a wood burner. A wooden spiral stair leads to the double bedroom, which includes bedding, towels and a window looking over the water. There is also a slipper bath inside the treehouse. A private cabin next door houses the shower, compost loo and hand basin. Outside is a decking area, fire/BBQ pit, and the option to add a wood-fired hot tub. Binoculars and a bird book are also provided. In very cold weather, when water is turned off, guests can use the Wash Howf facilities instead. The Whisky Howf is a stone-built cabin with a handmade, rustic king-size bed and a warm wood burner. It includes a roll-top slipper bath beside the bed and a kitchen with a double gas hob, oven, fridge and full cookware. The ensuite has a compost toilet, shower and basin. Set off-grid and reached by a short walk from the car park, it has beautiful views over the lochan and its own outdoor seating area with a fire pit and BBQ. All stays include cosy bedding and an initial wood supply. Guests can also use the site's honesty shop for extra wood and supplies. Towels are supplied for Summer and Wee Tree Howf, but Whisky Howf guests will need to bring their own. Please note, this site is pet free.
