About the site
Set within 50 acres of farmland and woodland in the Nidderdale National Landscape this family-run site offers gorgeous views over the North Yorkshire countryside and is just ten minutes from Ripon and 30 minutes to the Yorkshire Dales. This family-run campsite is home to grass and hardstanding pitches for tents and tourers and a selection of holiday homes, or for those seeking a weather-proof alternative, there are eight timber camping pods that sleep up to five guests with some dog friendly options. The pods are unfurnished and have been made with treated timber and insulated with sheep's wool to keep you cosy all year round. There are two pods that sleep up to three guests, one of which allows dogs, and six pods which sleep up to five, four of which allow dogs. You will need to bring your own bedding and camp beds plus any cooking equipment you may need. There is lighting, an electric heater and a power socket so you can charge your devices. Outside is a spacious wooden decking area with a picnic bench for enjoying the sunshine. BBQs are welcome as long as they are raised from the ground, sorry no campfires. Parking is located 125 yards from the pods, you will be in a secluded part of the site, so it is a great opportunity to spot local wildlife. Facilities are shared and located in the amenity building. Up to two dogs are permitted in each pod free of charge, there is even an exercise area for them to run off lead. Please remember to bring your own camp beds, bedding, cooking equipment and torches.
