About the site
Escape to the glorious Powys countryside, at this simple camping and glamping site that is home to chickens, geese and ducks! Set beside the River Irfon and only a ten minute walk from Llangammarch Wells with a train station, restaurants and shops. There are just five grass pitches for tents, and one hardstanding pitch for guests staying in a campervan. Or, you can opt for one for one of the cosy glamping options with two camping pods and two cabins (Daisy and Buttercup), each kept simple so you can still make the most of being in the great outdoors without sacrificing your home comforts. All of the glamping accommodation has heating, electric sockets and a kettle - so you won't have to go without your morning brew! The camping pods measure 4.6m x 2.4m and have a raised platform at the back of the pod with a double mattress, plus two single mattresses towards the front. The pods are a great option for families with little ones as underneath the raised platform there is an under-bed area with camping mats so little ones can make a den! Outside the camping pods is a grass area and picnic table so you can enjoy family meals. Daisy glamping cabin also sleeps up to four and has a slightly larger interior than the camping pods. Inside is a double bed and a double sofa bed, plus a dining table with chairs so you dine inside if you wish. Outside the cabin is a covered porch area with seating, and a grass area with a fire pit and picnic bench. Buttercup glamping cabin is suitable for up to five guests, with a double bed and a triple bunk bed which is great fun for the little ones! The cabin also has a sofa and a table inside. Outside, there is also a covered porch area with seating, plus a picnic bench and fire pit on the grass area. Please note, bedding, linen, towels and cooking equipment are not provided in any of the glamping units so you will need to bring your own. The site also advises bringing a good quality torch as parts of the site are unlit. Your washing facilities will be located in the shared amenity block, please remember toiletries and towels. All of the accommodation is dog friendly with up to two dogs permitted for a small extra charge. Campfires and BBQs are welcome in raised fire pits, firewood and kindling is available to purchase onsite. Or, head to the communal campfire and meet your fellow guests or spot a red kite flying above! For cooking, you can use the communal kitchen area with a fridge, microwave, kettle and washing up sinks, here there are also games for some evening entertainment.
