About the site

This is a quiet, family friendly glamping site set on the banks of the River Eden, just 25 minutes from Carlisle and within easy reach of the Lake District. Surrounded by rolling countryside and riverside views, it's a great base for outdoor adventures, including wild swimming and paddleboarding on the river. The site features two curved wooden cabins, Wigloo Cabin and Lantern House. Both have a double bed and a double futon bed, with bedding provided. One cabin has a fully equipped indoor kitchen/dining area, while the other features a sheltered outdoor cookhouse. Both come with a hob, fridge, and sink. Each cabin benefits from private facilities, including a compost loo and a shower hut located just outside. Outside, the cabins also have their own decking area with a table, chairs, fire pit, and a wood-fired hot tub, perfect for relaxing after a day exploring the surrounding countryside. BBQs can also be used, provided they are raised from the ground. Other onsite options include a yurt, gypsy caravan, shepherd's hut, and ten non electric grass camping pitches for those who prefer a more traditional camping experience.
