About the site
Tucked away on the edge of the Brecon Beacons (Bannau Brycheiniog), this peaceful glamping site is surrounded by woodland and mountain views, just 15 minutes from Hay-on-Wye. There are two off-grid wooden cabins, each designed and built by a local craftsman. The cabins are fully insulated, furnished with a king-size bed and a day bed that converts into two singles. Cotton bedding and towels are provided for the main bed, along with pillows for the singles. Inside, the cabins have a wood-burning stove (logs provided), rugs, blankets and cushions, plus a small table and chairs for relaxing or playing one of the board games provided. You'll also find solar USB ports for charging small devices. Each cabin has its own private kitchen hut, fully stocked with the essentials. There's a two ring gas hob, a gas-powered fridge, pots, pans, crockery and utensils, along with tea, coffee, cooking oil, salt, pepper and foil. A pint of fresh milk is also left for your arrival, and there's even a cafetière for your morning brew. Your cabin also comes with a private compost loo hut and a hot shower room just a short walk away. Outside, you will have a private space to enjoy the views. Each cabin has its own picnic table, deck chairs and a fire pit/BBQ, perfect for toasting marshmallows or cooking under the stars. Firewood and lighters are included. Guests just need to bring sleeping bags or bedding for the single beds, warm clothes for the evenings, slippers for indoors, and a torch for moving between the cabin and facilities after dark. The site also has a handful of canvas yurts, each in its own private area. Up to two well-behaved dogs are welcome in each cabin, so your four-legged friends can join in on the adventure too.
